    Jokowi Grieves Turkey Becomes Bomb Target, President Erdogan Responds

    President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) conveys a deep condolences for the bomb attack that occurred in Istanbul, Turkey, Sunday (13/11). Jokowi expressed his condolences directly to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan when the two of them had a bilateral meeting in between the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Badung, Bali, Monday (14/11). “I would like to express my deep condolences for the bomb attack in Istanbul which takes the victim of life,” President Jokowi said.

    President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on last Sunday (13/11) stated that the efforts to take over Turkey through terrorism would not work. The statement was stated following the occurrence of a bomb attack in Istanbul which resulted in at least six people dead and 53 others experiencing injuries. "Immediately after that dangerous attack, the security and health unit was sent to the scene, and the injured victim was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital," Erdogan said

    President Erdogan conveyed the statement at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul before leaving for Indonesia to attend the G20 Summit in Bali. The explosion hit the busy pedestrian line of Istiklal on the European side of the city at 16.20 local time or at 20.20 WIB.
